HOW CAN I PLAY WITH IHV?

 
Anyone wishing to play Ice Hockey should contact IHV Inquiries as via the contact link on the "Contacts" page of this site.
 
As a guide please note the following.
 
New Player - Australian Citizen
 
In order to register a "new player" who currently holds Australian Citizenship, the following items must be submitted to the IHV Permit Secretary. Note all forms must either be filled out in full noted below:
  • IHV Player Registration Form
    • Part A - Player
    • Part B - Club Secretary
    • Part C - VIHDC Representative (If under 20 years of age)
  • Birth Certificate if under 20 years of age
  • AIHF Member Affiliation and Declaration Form
  • Victorian V01 Form
  • Proof of Citizenship (At least one of the following items):
    • Birth Certificate
    • Passport
    • Citizenship Form
    • Driver's Licence
  • IHV Registration Fee
New Player - Non Citizen of Australia
 
In order to register a "new player" who does not currently hold Australian Citizenship, e.g. an overseas visitor on a working holiday etc., the following items must be submitted to the IHV Permit Secretary. Note all forms must either be filled out in full noted below:
  • IHV Player Registration Form
    • Part A - Player
    • Part B - Club Secretary
    • Part C - VIHDC Representative (If under 20 years of age)
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • AIHF Member Affiliation and Declaration Form
  • Victorian V01 Form
  • Copy of Passport complete with appropriate visa:
    • Work Visa
    • Sport Visa
    • Visitor Visa (16 and under)
  • IHV Registration Fee
Note for Overseas Players - Ice Hockey in Victoria is conducted entirely as an amateur sport with the Club and Association administration being conducted by non paid officials. 
 
Previously Registered Player, (i.e. IHV Registration Renewal)
 
In order to re-register a "Player" who was previously registered with IHV (previously VIHA) and who is returning to the sport after some time off or who is registering for the current year, the following items must be submitted to the IHV Permit Secretary. Note all forms must either be filled out in full noted below:
  • AIHF Member Affiliation and Declaration Form
  • Victorian V01 Form
  • IHV Registration Fee and Ice Fee Payment
Senior Players (over 18 years) wishing to play in Premier A, Premier Reserve or Premier C grades can only be assigned a club by entering into the Player Draft Process. The 2010 Draft will be held on 9th April and all nominations must be in by 31st March accompanied by all necessary paperwork and payment of Registration and the first ice fees. This form should be used by those wishing to nominate for both or either of the checking grades
 
 
This form should be used by those wishing to nominate for the non checking grade
 
 
If a player wishes to be considered for both Reserve and Premier C then they should complete both forms. Note that in this case the player will be placed in the Premier Reserve grade Draft and only be added into the Premier C if he/she is not selected in the Reserve grade Draft.
